Description:

Impact Analytics is looking for a Data Engineer to join its growing data team. This role is crucial in solving data-driven business challenges by designing, building, and optimizing end-to-end data architectures, including data pipelines. As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate closely with software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists to ensure the company’s data systems run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, construct, test, and maintain existing and new data-driven architectures.
• Align data architecture with business needs to provide effective solutions.
• Build scalable infrastructure for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from diverse sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies.
• Acquire data from multiple organizational sources.
• Use programming languages and tools to collect and process data efficiently.
• Improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks using data.
• Deliver insights and updates to stakeholders based on analytics.
• Set up reporting practices and continuous monitoring frameworks.

Requirements:

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science or similar quantitative field (B.Tech/B.E. or M.Tech/M.E. in Computers/IT).
• At least 1+ year of relevant experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of SQL, Python, and data modelling.
• Experience in developing and optimizing ETL and big data pipelines.
• Strong analytical skills for handling diverse datasets.
• Familiarity with different operating systems (Linux, Windows).
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Good problem-solving skills using data-driven approaches.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Hive.
• Exposure to NoSQL databases like Cassandra and Postgres.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, GCS, VMs).
• Knowledge of object-oriented scripting languages (Python).
